‘They opened their treasures…’

“On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and incense and of myrrh.” Matthew 2:11
When Jesus was born, the wise men came to worship Him bearing gifts that were of great value. What could be of more value to the brave men and women of our military than the gift of God’s Word?
That is exactly what a Chaplain and his group of faithful volunteers have been doing for troops overseas and at home. “Thank you for helping me put the God’s Word into the hands of troops all over the world. Your partnership is priceless. God bless you so much!”

Recently, they filled about 1,000 stockings for troops overseas in places like Afghanistan and Bahrain, and at home at their Bible study on base, with Military Ministry Rapid Deployment Kits––including a camouflage New Testament, “Our Daily Bread” devotional, and more, all packaged to fit into a soldier’s cargo pocket ––a gift they can keep in their pocket, even in combat situations, and know that the Lord holds them in His hand.
