When war comes home – Last Chance

When war comes home with our wounded warriors.

I'm Sending:

Special last chance opportunity to help our homecoming troops before the 2009 tax year ends this Thursday night!

His family is falling apart. He can’t focus on the job. Sleep is fleeting . . . punctuated by nightmares that end in crushing terror.

He can’t escape the questions . . .

. . . why did I survive?
. . . why did so many of my men, so many of my friends have to die?
. . . why do I feel dead inside?

Nathan Self was a captain in the U.S. Army Rangers. He was an elite soldier decorated for his service. Yet, he can’t even relate to his wife, the most important person in his life.

Nathan isn’t alone. Thousands of his fellow warriors struggle with their daily routine after returning home from Iraq or Afghanistan. In the next six months, the situation will become even more urgent with the return of over 90,000 troops from Iraq.

Not all troops will have the same experience, but undoubtedly each military man and woman will face challenges as they reintegrate into society.

Your gift can help them with this process. Each $25 you send will give a family The Combat Trauma Healing Manual and When War Comes Home. These books will help veterans work through the complex mix of emotions they will feel with the latest insights of the medical and counseling communities and the timeless principles of God’s Word.

Make your gift before midnight Thursday, December 31, to get a 2009 tax receipt.
