Psalms 46:1

Here are 10 suggestions of things you can do to maintain your spiritual fitness while you are downrange:

  1. Daily Devotionals
  2. Be intentional about growing together with a small group.
  3. Debrief after trauma.
  4. Pray the Warrior’s Prayer: Psalm 91, and pray the blessing of Aaron over yourself and the members of your small group:
    May the Lord bless you and take care of you; May the Lord be kind and gracious to you; May the Lord look on you with favor and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26
  5. Keep in touch with home.
  6. If you are married, use this website, Excellent or Praiseworthy, to stay in sync with your spouse.
  7. Find or become a Bible study leader.
  8. Make it a priority to attend chapel services.
  9. sleep when you can.
  10. Recruit a prayer team back home.
