Here are 10 suggestions of things you can do to maintain your spiritual fitness while you are downrange:
- Daily Devotionals
- Be intentional about growing together with a small group.
- Debrief after trauma.
- Pray the Warrior’s Prayer: Psalm 91, and pray the blessing of Aaron over yourself and the members of your small group:
May the Lord bless you and take care of you; May the Lord be kind and gracious to you; May the Lord look on you with favor and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26
- Keep in touch with home.
- If you are married, use this website, Excellent or Praiseworthy, to stay in sync with your spouse.
- Find or become a Bible study leader.
- Make it a priority to attend chapel services.
- sleep when you can.
- Recruit a prayer team back home.
