It is a great privilege for us to serve with you among the militaries. Here is some information about some of the forthcoming events in which Bulgarian Military Ministry will be the main organizer. 6-10 October: Chaplaincy training will be held in Yambol and the participants in the course will be the future chaplains in the Bulgarian Army. The speakers will be Major General (ret.) Clay Buckingham, Chaplain (Colonel, ret.) Bernie Windmiller, and Chaplain (Colonel, ret.) Rich Young from the International Association of Evangelical Chaplains. Please pray that God speaks to the hearts of the people called to be chaplains.
We have planned a lecture “The Military Chaplaincy: A U.S. Perspective” to be delivered by Chaplain (Colonel, ret.) Bernie Windmiller in the Military Academy in Sofia. Pray that God opens a door for this lecture to be delivered and to bring positive results.
5-10 November: Colonel (ret.) Terry Tyrrell and his wife together with some military families will visit Bulgaria. They will take part in a family seminar for non-Christian militaries. There will be many meetings with non-Christian militaries, travels. Please pray that God will give us wisdom and guidance, and to protect us.
In mid-November we’ll have a guest Lt Colonel (ret.) Rainer Thourum from German AMCF. We’ll meet with the Metropolitan of Veliko Turnovo, Father Grigorii. We plan to visit Greece and meet with Greek Christian military personnel. We hope that this will be the beginning of a work together with our neighbors in Greece. Pray for the trip, for our meetings, for God’s guidance and wisdom. |
