Military Ministry

Kenya

The following is just a small sample of what is happening in the Military Ministry of Kenya:

Lt Col Geoff Muturi
Lt Col Geoff Muturi
Kenyan Leader

Geoff Muturi leads the Military Ministry in Kenya. Under the guidance of the Chief of Chaplains and the Life Ministry (Campus Crusade for Christ in Kenya) Director, Geoff and his team established seven training centers where they taught military evangelism and discipleship for five consecutive weeks. Twenty-nine of the most effective ministry leaders were invited to go through the “TOT” training to become “Trainers of Trainers”. During the first calendar year, they trained 473 military personnel to share their faith and to disciple new converts. They went out and witnessed to 2,532 and 780 military personnel accepted Christ. The leaders became living epistles of the Acts 1:8 principle of being witnesses in both Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

This helped start new Military Ministries next door in Uganda and across the African continent into Sierra Leone. This last fiscal year, they trained 364 military personnel for outreach in the training centers and equipped an additional 29 people to become “Trainers of Trainers.”

They witnessed to 3,346 military personnel, and 864 accepted Christ in one year! Four more centers were established making a total of 11. The Life Ministry National Director said the Military Ministry is so effective in training people in evangelism and discipleship that civilian churches are asking for them to come train their congregations! We praise God that we have a Military Ministry movement in Kenya, which is spreading across Africa.
