What’s happening in Romania?

• We had a summer project at the Army Academy in Sibiu during May.  We praise God for the open doors He continues to provide for us at the academy.  The cadets from the U.S. were allowed to stay on campus with the Romanian cadets which gave them great interaction time.  Over the weekend we had a retreat to the mountains where we concentrated on inviting first year cadets to join us who we had worked to build relationships during the week.  14 Romanian cadets joined us for the weekend as well as an officer escort and his wife.  Many conversations took place with Jesus being presented as our Savior and our friend. 

• A new commandant was appointed to the army academy in May, and I was able to visit with him and talk to him about the activities that Military Ministry has had at the academy in the past.  He was supportive of the project that took place, and it was good first exposure for him as to what we are doing at the academy.

• In addition to setting up the project I continued to meet with the officers in Bucharest that I disciple and encourage in our Lord.
