As we approach FY 08/09, things have not been easy for us even though our normal activities continue. Some of our plans were not organized or implemented, especially the three days of fasting and prayer. It was supposed to be centralized at 5 INF BDE HQ but because of inadequate funds it was carried out at various military camps.
Furthermore, I’m receiving reports from our coordinators and volunteers at the forward patrol bases (FPBs) that some of our makeshift fellowship centers are in bad shape due to the heavy rains in that part of the country.Notwithstanding, soldiers and their dependents are punctual in attending our fellowship meetings and giving their lives to Christ on a daily basis.Even though the number is not at times as big as expected, yet God is calling His own children.
Also, I’m expressing my thanks and appreciation in advance for I have received the invitation letter for the seminar and conference in September this year (first week) by the special grace of God and it has been forwarded for processing.
In another development, the GCM SL Director visited the EasternProvinceHeadquarterTown – Kenema, one of the Muslim-dominated towns in the region.A one-day training on discipleship and counseling was organized for pastors and elders in a local church of which I was fortunate to be there.Participants were so moved and eager to learn more about evangelism and discipleship as time could permit Bro. Lincoln.Above all they were grateful, promising to pass to others what they have learned.
I’m also thanking the Director for updating us with the Ministry’s activities worldwide, especially remarkable events for a concern or praising God together. We have responded aggressively in spiritual warfare prayer for the situation in Zimbabwe Harari of which we strongly believe God to bring that nation back to her normal state.Thank God for what He is doing in the area of evangelism and discipleship both locally and internationally.
