Military Ministry

Sierra Leone

The following is just a small sample of what is happening in the Military Ministry of Sierra Leone:

Chaplain Penn-Timidy
Chaplain Penn-Timity
Sierra Leone Leader

Our Military Ministry Director for Kenya made a contact while stationed on UN duty in Sierra Leone with Chaplain Penn-Timity who has now started a new ministry in West Africa. We provided a financial scholarship for him to attend the Kenya Annual Conference in 2002. He said that it was a turning point of his life, and he now leads the Military Ministry in Sierra Leone! They provide Bibles for the troops, who patrol their borders with Liberia. Chaplain Penn-Timity travels with them as they patrol. Often times they meet under sticks and straw thrown together for temporary shelter. They are following Kenya’s example in providing evangelistic training to their military. In all the evangelist events that Sierra Leone has done for 2005; 3,441 have been contacted with the Good News of Jesus Christ and 1,203 have accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior. To God be the glory!
