November 5, 2009 – A day of sadness. Even as former International Director Paul Pettijohn was preparing to leave this week on a trip to Rwanda, our dear brother died suddenly at his home and went to be with the Lord. Memorial arrangements are underway as of this writing. Contact Military Ministry at 1-800-444-6006 for further information.
October 2009 – In the Dominican Republic, we have been invited to come and teach evangelism using the Four Spiritual Laws. We seek favor from God to have Rodolfo and Eva Interiano be our representatives.
September 2009 – Lt Gen (Ret) “Tex” Brown and his son, Chris, visited Mongolia to work with the Centurion ministry. They spent one weekend participating in a FamilyLife Conference with senior officers and then they worked with the Centurion staff and additional senior officers with an emphasis on leadership.
August 2009 – From an email for Mike Morales, new Military Ministry Director in the Philippines, he has already embraced the concept of the Sending Platform Strategy and has begun to do work in Cambodia and Indonesia. Their military contacts were key players in organizing an executive outreach in Phnom Penh which included members of parliament, government officials, military officers and businessmen, with 53 people indicated making decisions for Christ — Praise God! In Indonesia, they spoke at the annual retreat of the cadets at the Indonesian Military Academy in Magelang, Central Java, and did some vision-casting with some officers.
July 2009 – Paul Pettijohn stepped down as International Director and is now the Associate International Director for Africa. He is working from home but still has access to his email account at Military Ministry. He plans to travel to Africa approximately three times in the next 12 months. He may have changed positions but he has not slowed down. Charlie Harris, our International Operations Coordinator, has stepped up to the plate and is standing in the gap as Interim International Director.
